DoT rejects Voda Idea's objections on license fees worth Rs 3,273 cr for FY2015-17

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has dismissed Vodafone Idea's objections regarding license fee demands totaling Rs 3,273 crore for fiscal years 2015-17. This decision has further worsened the financial situation of the struggling company. Vodafone Idea claims that the DoT has not addressed its plea to correct errors in demands up to FY 2016-17. The matter relates to the Supreme Court's verdict on adjusted gross revenue (AGR), which directed older telcos, including Vodafone Idea, to pay dues as per DoT calculations.
