Strictly’s Katya Jones denies being ‘drunk’ after falling over TWICE on the show

STRICTLY Come Dancing’s Katya Jones has denied being “drunk” after she fell over TWICE in the live show.

Fans were left concerned for the 30-year-old star when she took two tumbles just minutes apart earlier this evening.

The Russian beauty has now insisted that the second dramatic fall was on purpose as she tried to brush off the embarrassing mishap.

Taking to her social media page, she tweeted: “Guys! I’m totally fine! No idea what happened. So sorry.”

Katya added: “FYI I did it again on purpose in Claudia’s area!

“And I am def not drunk as some people think.”

The star’s first blunder happened mid-way through her Cha-Cha-Cha with celebrity partner Mike Bushell.

Katya was praised by viewers for managing to effortlessly “style out” the fall during their raunchy routine to It’s Raining Men.

The pair were performing a Magic Mike inspired dance in honour of the movie week theme, but the star missed her footing and slipped to the floor.

Ever the pro, she quickly spun around on her bottom as she turned the fall into an impromptu extra move.

Discussing the performance afterwards, judge Bruno Toniolo remarked: “It wasn’t quite magic, it was nearly tragic in parts.”

Katya insisted that the mishap wasn’t her celebrity partner’s fault – and appeared to be flustered as she suffered another trip at the top of the stairs.

The star went flying as she and Mike rushed up to join the rest of the Strictly team, yet again bouncing back up as she sheepishly giggled.

Worried host Claudia Winkleman asked the star if she was okay, but Katya shook it off and insisted that she was fine.
