When is King Charles III’s coronation concert?
The King’s coronation concert will take place on Sunday, May 7 from 8pm.
The rare musical event is being held on the grounds of Windsor Castle – which is located in the Berkshire town of Windsor.
A favourite place for the Royal Family, Windsor is where The Prince and Princess of Wales live, and where the late Queen Elizabeth II lived in the later years of her life.
The coronation concert is one day after the Coronation of King Charles III at London’s Westminster Abbey.
It is the day before the UK bank holiday on Monday, May 8.

Several big names have been confirmed as performers for the historic bash, including Lionel Richie and Katy Perry.
Lionel, 73, who used to be part of the Commodores, became the first Global Ambassador for King Charles’ charity The Prince’s Trust – set up when he was The Prince of Wales – back in 2019.
He’s famous for huge hits including Dancing on the Ceiling and All Night Long.
Katy Perry will also inject a touch of modern pop royalty to the concert.
Katy, 38, is one of the best-selling artists of the current pop scene, having scored a history-making five number one singles from the same album with Teenage Dream back in 2011.
She tied Michael Jackson for the record, and became the first female artist to achieve the feat.
Katy serves as an ambassador for one of The King’s charities, the British Asian Trust, and has said she is excited to ‘shine a light further’ on the organisation’s work.
Interestingly, Katy and Lionel are both currently judges on US reality talent show American Idol.
Other stars confirmed to be performing at the concert include more homegrown talent, including Take That.
The group, now consisting of Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald, said: ‘This will be our first live show since the Odyssey Tour, four years ago in 2019, and what a stage to come back on!
‘A huge live band and orchestra, a choir, military drummers, the backdrop of Windsor Castle and the celebration of a new king. We can’t wait.’
Completing the bill are classical and operatic legends Andrea Bocelli and Sir Bryn Terfel, plus London pop star Freya Ridings.
The artists will be backed by a 70-piece orchestra and house band comprising the Massed Bands of the Household Division and The Countess of Wessex’s String Orchestra.
Iconic American singer Bette Midler, 77, is reported to be performing at Windsor Castle.
Previously, speculation swirled that Brit superstars Adele and Ed Sheeran were asked to perform.
It was reported that both had ‘turned down’ the opportunity – but a rep for Ed told Metro.co.uk that the singer and his team had not even been ‘approached’ about performing.
The Shape Of You hitmaker, 32, is due to perform in Arlington, Texas on the day of the coronation, meaning he’d have quite a journey to reach the UK in time for the May 7 show.
The Coronation Choir, a 300-strong group from around the UK, will also perform on this major stage.
Can you still get tickets to the coronation concert?
Unfortunately, the ballot to nab free tickets to the coronation concert is now closed.
Ticketmaster ran a ballot to give away 5,000 free pairs of tickets, so 10,000 total, from Tuesday, February 28.
The Ticketmaster website said that successful applicants will be informed if they have tickets by late April – so, if you applied, it’s time to start watching your inbox.
