I bought a Costco baby pool for £19 thinking I’d bagged a bargain…then realised the basic mistake I made when I got home
A WOMAN has revealed that she bought a baby pool for her son for just £19 and thought she’d bagged a bargain, until she got home and took it out of the box.
The parent explained that she made a basic mistake when buying the sprinkler pad – by forgetting to measure the size of it.
Then, when Jacob’s mother got home, she realised that instead of purchasing a small paddling pool for her baby, she had picked up a pool that was 11 feet wide and took up her whole decking.
Posting on social media, the mother showed off her huge pool, in a clip that was shared with the caption ‘You got plenty for your cash with this one.
“I feel like there could be 10 babies in there.’
In the video, we saw Jacob playing in his new pool – the H20 Go shallow adventure sprinkler pad.
His mother confirmed: “We went to Costco and bought a pool without really measuring first.
“I mean it was $25 [£19] and seemed to be a no brainer.
“It’s 11 feet wide.”
Although shocked at her cheap buy, Jacob’s mother was impressed at just how large the pool was, considering the bargain price tag.
She later added: “You should run to Costco in my opinion.”
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @jacobstory22, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly gone viral and has since racked up a staggering 3.8 million views.
Social media users were stunned at the size of the baby pool and were eager to share this in the comments.
One person said: “I just got that same splash pad for $10 a few weeks ago! All the kids love it, but I also had no clue how enormous it was!”
Another added: “I didn’t even see him at first!”
A third commented: “Costco said go big or go home.”
Whilst someone else noted: “That’s what you call a family splash pad.”
Meanwhile, another parent claimed: “I’ve entertained 15 kids on ours. Worth. Every. Penny.”
At the same time, another TikTok user shared: “What a bargain.”
