Range Rover driver tries to shortcut around bin lorry – but things go very wrong
They say good things come to those who wait – but what about those who don’t?
Well, if this video is anything to go by, patience certainly is a virtue.
Footage shows how an impatient driver who couldn’t be bothered to wait behind a bin lorry.
Someone in a grey Range Rover decided to attempt to go around the Biffa vehicle in Cranleigh, Surrey, by going off-road on a grass verge.
But the attempt went very wrong and the car ended up sliding into a ditch and getting stuck.
Waverley Borough Council posted the footage on Twitter to warn people against dangerous attempts at overtaking.
Staff wrote: ‘Next time you think about overtaking one of our refuse collection vehicles, please take care.
‘As well as putting our Biffa crews (and others) at risk, you may find yourself with a hefty garage bill.
‘Please be patient.’

Another teeth-clenching driving incident recently saw a woman fail her driving test in the most spectacular way.
The 63-year-old, who has not been named, was filmed on CCTV while driving in the city of Lanus in Argentina.
The footage shows her driving over a raised bank before apparently attempting to stop the car – which then speeds up and crashes into the post.
