EastEnders legend breaks silence on shock return as she makes comeback after 17 years
FREDDIE Slater is finally due for a rude awakening as he finds out the truth about his parentage later this week.
During last night’s trip to the Square, the EastEnders favourite called his mother Little Mo, sending fans into a frenzy on Twitter.
Harsh truths are rarely forever hidden in Albert Square as Freddie (portrayed by Bobby Brazier) will soon be reminded.
After being diagnosed with ADHD in his first hard-hitting storyline, the lad will be coming face to face with his long-lost father Graham Foster as he seeks answers about his parentage.
Little does he know Graham (Alex McSweeney) was thrown behind bars for raping his mother Little Mo, which ultimately led to his birth.
Graham is set to make an explosive return to the Square later this week although he has not been seen in the London-based drama since his prison release.
In scenes aired last night (Tuesday, August 1, 2023), Freddie gave his mother an emotional phone call in an attempt to ask her more about his father but he abstained.
Instead, the youngster said: “You alright mum, yeah, I’m just missing you, that’s all.”
“You sound happy, mum”, he added before telling her he loved her.
The scenes prompted former Little Mo star Kacey Ainsworth to turn to Twitter as she commented: “Apparently I’ve been on the blower…”
Fans responded to her Tweet immediately, keen to know if she could also come back to Walford, 17 years after her last ever appearance in the long-running show.
“Please come back even just for a few Eps, you’re one of they characters people have genuinely missed, wonder how Lil Mo would get on with honey”, one soap viewer demanded.
Another jumped in: “Miss Kacey, Freddie needs his mama! Please say you’re coming back to the square” as a third penned: “Don’t tease us like this.”
Little Mo left Albert Square in 2006 with a young Freddie in tow following a failed attempt at reconciling with Billy Mitchell.
