Bloomfield business owner gets prison for drug dealing throughout Connecticut
A Bloomfield man was sentenced to 10 years in prison this week for drug dealing, according to federal authorities.
Kenston Harry, 42, also was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Janet Bond Arterton in New Haven to five years of supervised release, according to federal authorities.
Authorities said the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Bridgeport High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force probe into a drug trafficking organization led by Tajh Wiley, also known as Yung, of Norwalk found Wiley “conspired with Harry and others to distribute fentanyl, cocaine, and marijuana throughout Connecticut.”
Harry was arrested in June 2021 and at that time investigators searched his Bloomfield home and his Hartford business, Action Audio, federal authorities said. “The search of his residence revealed more than one kilogram of fentanyl, more than one kilogram of cocaine, and kilogram presses and other items used to process and package narcotics for distribution.” Authorities said marijuana and other items were seized from the business location.
Harry was found guilty by a jury of one count of conspiracy to distribute, and to possess with intent to distribute, 400 grams or more of fentanyl, 500 grams or more of cocaine, and marijuana; one count of possession with intent to distribute 400 grams of fentanyl; one count of possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine; and one count of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, federal authorities said.
Harry, Wiley and six others were charged as a result of the investigation.
A jury found Wiley guilty of multiple offenses in July 2022 and he was later sentenced to a total of 144 months in prison.
Federal authorities said law enforcement seized jewelry valued at more than $100,000, and a 2021 Mercedes-Benz valued at about $146,000 from Wiley.
Harry is free on a $250,000 bond and must report to prison on October 25.
