Kris Jenner Is Reportedly Bringing This Business Idea Back to Life
Kris Jenner, the matriarch of the famous Kardashian-Jenner family, is making headlines once again for her business endeavors. This time, she is reportedly looking to expand her empire by trademarking her first name. The move suggests that she may be preparing to revisit an old business idea from a little over a decade ago.
Jenner has filed a trademark application to lend her name to a brand new fashion business, according to TMZ. The momager has an active application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for her own name stylized in all caps. According to the filing, Jenner isn’t just niching in on one type or style of clothing, either. She’s seemingly looking to build a new fashion brand that has everything from leisurewear, including sweatshirts and sweatpants, along with footwear and even headwear.
Kris Jenner’s foray into the fashion industry is not entirely unexpected. The head of the Kardashian-Jenner family applied for a trademark with similar branding back in 2011, but ultimately, the trademark was abandoned in 2015. In 2022, she filed a trademark for a clothing like called “Kristan,” featuring loungewear and caftans, but nothing has been released from this potential brand as of yet.
Between Kris and her six children, the Kardashian-Jenners have made waves with brands like Kim’s shapewear brand SKIMS, Kourtney’s wellness brand lemme, Khloé’s Good American fashion line, Kylie’s Kylie Cosmetics and Kylie Skin, and Kendall’s 818 Tequila, to name a few.
While some may view Kris Jenner’s move into fashion as just another celebrity-backed endeavor, it is important to acknowledge her business acumen and knack for spotting opportunities. Her success in various ventures, including Keeping Up with the Kardashians and The Kardashians, along with her branding Master Class on the power of personal branding, have proven her ability to connect with audiences and create profitable ventures.
