‘Big Brother 25’s’ Mecole: ‘It was important to me to throw a little shade’ [WATCH]
Mecole Hayes played a very quiet game on “Big Brother 25,” but she left the house with a bang on Thursday after she was evicted 7-0 to become the final pre-juror. Mere feet from the door, she turned and told the house that Cory, America and Bowie are in an alliance and are coming after Matt, Jag and Blue. This is not true, and no, this is not Meme’s read on the house. She just wanted to stir the pot.
“It was important to me to throw a little shade and also leave the house in a bit of a disarray on my exit,” she tells Gold Derby (watch above). “Because I know that everyone had been saying that, you know, ‘Meme doesn’t talk much game. She holds her cards so closely to her chest. We don’t know where she stands. We have no idea what she’s thinking.’ So I decided to take a page out of everyone in the house’s book and be just as messy and opinionated as they are. And hopefully I get to watch them scramble.”
The political consultant concocted the plan off of an earlier conversation with America, who had asked Meme who she trusts besides her and Cory. “I said, ‘You know, I don’t really trust anyone. I don’t feel that comfortable with anyone else.’ And she started to say, ‘Well, Cory really trusts Bowie Jane. Bowie Jane looks to him as an advisor. She’s really smart. You should really get to know her,'” Meme recalls. “So while she didn’t necessarily pitch an alliance that I had denied like I had been telling everyone else, she did allude to the fact that they had some sort of relationship, so I just decided to put a little white lie in the air.”
The irony, of course, behind Meme throwing Cory and America under the bus is that Matt and Jag were the ones who got the ball rolling on the vote-flip to evict her. Not to mention, Cory had been trying to align with Meme the entire game only to be rejected by her. “I wasn’t aware that Jag and Matt had been masterminding this plan for my demise,” she says. “I was certain that it was Cory and America. Certain. You could not have paid me to be to believe that it was anyone else. So I really did think that the lie [of me declining Cory, America and Bowie’s final four pitch] was going to land. I’m sure they were sitting there looking at me, like, ‘You big dummy.'”
