Engineers from Toyota presented talks and technology presentations in the Clyde Engineering building on Wednesday, Oct. 11. The Toyota-sponsored event was designed to share potential job and learning experiences with students.
One stall featured augmented reality headsets, immersing participants in car-related activities. Another table showed off a “collaborative robot,” a robot arm programmed to pick up and put down objects.
The event also hosted talks on Motorsports, internal logistics and body welding.

The College of Physical and Mathematical Sciences celebrated its 50th anniversary with a 50 footlong cake on Friday, Oct. 13. President C. Shane Reese, Dean Grant Jensen and Cosmo cut the cake at 11:30 a.m. outside the Carl F. Eyring Building.
The college invited the whole campus to participate in the celebrations. Event participants could also enter their names into a special prize giveaway.
