Four militants killed in North Waziristan, Pakistan
The Pakistan Army has announced that during operations in the North Waziristan region, four militants, including a suicide attacker, have been killed.
The Pakistan Army said in a statement on Tuesday that these insurgents were involved in several terrorist activities.
According to the published statement, these individuals intended to organize a major attack, and a number of weapons and explosives were recovered from them.
Pakistani officials have called on the Kabul administration to take immediate and decisive action against the TTP (Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan) hideouts within their borders. They emphasize the urgency of addressing these threats to ensure regional security and stability, underscoring the need for swift and serious responses.
In contrast, the Taliban group vehemently denies these allegations, asserting that they do not condone the use of Afghan soil for attacks against neighboring countries. They maintain that they will not permit any individual or group to launch attacks on neighboring countries from Afghanistan, reflecting their stance on cross-border terrorism.
This comes as the Pakistan Center for Security Studies and Research recently published a report announcing that in 2023, nearly a thousand military and civilians were killed in “terrorist” attacks across the country.
Reports indicate that Pakistan has seen a significant increase in terrorist attacks for the third consecutive year, resulting in over 1500 deaths in the country in the year 2023.
