What to know for the 2025 SLI Festival of Trees in Topeka
TOPEKA (KSNT) - A Topeka non-profit is bringing its Festival of Trees celebration back for its 48th year this holiday season.
Success, Learning, Inclusion (SLI) will kick off its 2025 Festival of Trees later this month on Nov. 25 at Fairlawn Plaza. From picking up a sweet treat at the Sweet Shoppe to participating in the silent auction, the festival has a lot to offer guests.
SLI uses the festival to bring the magic of the holidays to Topeka each year while also supporting people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities in the local area. People can bid on decorated trees, wreaths and holiday displays through the festival's online auction or show up in-person to check out the holiday arrangements.
The Festival of Trees will operate from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily from Nov. 25 to Dec. 6 and will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. The tree and wreath setup will take place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Nov. 21 and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 22.
- Public viewing opportunities: trees, wreaths and silent auction items will be available for viewing daily from Nov. 25 to Dec. 6.
- Sweet Shoppe: homemade treats available for purchase throughout the festival.
- Silent auction: bid online from Nov. 25 to Dec. 6.
- Festival Soirée: participate in the live auction and community celebration from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Dec. 5.
The festival has raised $3.7 million since it got started in 1977. This cash is used to support the needs of more than 125 adults in Topeka with residential, community integration, employment and independent living programs.
You can find the Festival of Trees at 2114 SW Chelsea Dr. at the Fairlawn Plaza Shopping Center. Learn more about this year's festival, buy tickets to the soirée and sign up to volunteer here.
