At the peak of political crises between Governor Abdullahi Ganduje and his political Godfather, Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, the governor hurriedly approved over 600 million Naira as vehicle advance loan to the legislators, a situation that was viewed by Kwankwaso’s camp as a deliberate way to silence the lawmakers and do the biddings of the state governor.
The lawmakers who are all from the APC were seen in the late hours after the office closing and without the red cap symbol, collecting keys of the SUV cars.

The vehicles came in different colours.
One of the legislators and a die-hard Kwankwaso ally who doesn’t want his name in print told our correspondent that it was a waste of public funds to purchase the vehicles at this time where an average family man is finding it difficult to feed his family due the economic crunch facing the country. He has however, picked his own car.

With the taking into custody of the new vehicles by the lawmakers, the state governor can count on them as part of his allies in the political war against his former boss, Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso.
Though there are reports that suggest a truce was reached in reconciling the two political gladiators of the state, the unabated media war among their followers is still dominating the airwaves, pointing that it is a far cry from being over.
