Huddersfield Giants • All over?

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Wasn't able to make the game, but family were there, and their reports were shocking. Would like to hear from others. No pace, no interest, no kicking game, no defence. Strongest squad ever?

Leeds Rhinos • RD 12 | Wigan Warriors (A)

What on earth is to be gained with Donaldson on the bench over Walters and Jonhson?!?!?!?
Clearly both have no future at the club.
I really don't blame Walters for looking elsewhere.
Johnson will be doing the same.
What a shame.

Wakefield Trinity • Applegarth

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

No other other super league side would have accepted a coach that had a 12 game losing streak.
Because we have MInnards & Carter in control (whom Mr Minnards states he is a life long supporter) and
is taking this club into the championship. It's clear Mr Applegarth whom is obviously the cheap option is not up for the job.
Let's not be bothered because it's quite clear the management are gearing up for the championship. Carter & Co can
be proud of taking this club down. After recently... Читать дальше...

Doesn't make sense to me - you could play one of Cust and Hampshire from the start and one off the bench if you needed to split the work.

London Broncos • Off Season Recruitment - By The Month

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

DR or Loan's, call it what you will is getting a lil out of hand (apart from us). They really need to introduce some regulation on this. Maybe a maximum number of loans per season or something. Who will be the first club to have no players but complete a season using purely DR/Loan players?

Considered it but SOL missed a lot of time with injury. Also under we’ve had a few bad years under Lockers.

Have saints every missed the playoffs with Roby?

Roby edges it for me.

Roby had barren years aswell, but for me SOL had a better all round game, never saw Roby nail a pass left to right to Sarge at pace like SOL did,his skill set was higher than Roby but in no means I am denigrating Roby fantastic player but not quite as good as Lockers.

I went to the Widnes game and that left me scarred. I recovered sufficiently 23 rounds later to go to the Batley game. The dross on the pitch combined with ineptitude off it, the Plough Lane shambles and the complete lack of club direction, directed me to other pastimes after 20 odd years of week in week out support.

No question it’s all very poor from Broncos.
I’m mean that team and that ‘match day experience’ early doors last season was a spectacular failure of judgement. Читать дальше...

You'd still expect Everton to lose though. City didn't really rest any one against us, and their bench is still stronger than most starting teams.

I've got a season ticket but stopped going a while back.

Looking forward to a fresh start under new management (if that does actually happen) though, clearly rather be in the top league than consigned to the lower divisions.

Think that's harsh. DH was never a controlling playmaker, but he does the little things right and his defence, previously impeccable, had dropped off, but, that has visibly improved of late. He was very good last night. You mention international recognition as the yardstick by which he is judged, so then,

by your judgement, Clifford is poor, as he has been nowhere near an Origin squad,

let alone an international cap. Dwyer, while occasionally box office... Читать дальше...

Not so sure. In 2005, the year after we had won our 1st championship in decades, I think we averaged over 17k. That's as good as it got throughout a prolonged period of success. We seem to be able to pull in 12 to 13k no matter what the product on show is like, but in reality it's a pretty poor show for a big city club. If even a small % of our keyboard warriors were season ticket holders we'd have no problem selling the ground out and would probably have the funds... Читать дальше...

I wouldn't get your hopes up. You might read it like that if we hadn't gone through a 2 month recruitment process previously to then give it to the guy already at the club. Читать дальше...

Roby all being well breaks the Saints record number of appearances tomorrow. His 532nd game.

I wonder if anyone else in SL will ever break the SL record?

It always makes me laugh when the Aussies make a huge deal of one of theirs playing 200 games for example. Ben Hunt is on 350 I think now and they have never stopped talking about it. Granted the NRL is a tougher comp but still.....

I didn't expect us to fall off a cliff this year but next year with Roby retiring is a huge loss. Читать дальше...

Under DW the losses of the stadium (and both the rugby and football) were hidden from the fan.
For various reasons it didn't matter to Dave Whelan in that he could use the clubs as his play thing, for tax purposes, advertisement for his own companies etc. So it kind of didn't matter that the stadium had no naming rights bringing in income (it's been open 24 years and no real Stadium naming sponsorship rights have come into it in all that time from a 3rd party).

I liked the look of the Eseh. Huge frame, athletic and looked difficult to tackle. I’d consider bringing him in as a squad player and see how he develops.[/quote]

He reminds me of Masi Matongo, big frame but just doesn't look aggressive enough or run his weight for me.
