Saint Ambrose (Iowa)

Athletic Director Mike Holmes announced the hiring of Kris Kistler as Senior Woman Administrator/Director of Compliance today. In her role at St. Ambrose, Kistler will be responsible for NAIA eligibility and oversee team compliance with NAIA regulations. As the SWA, she will onboard new hires, assure gender equity, and promote student-athlete well-being. She will also coordinate game day activities. 

IWLCA Release 

Three SAU student-athletes - Lexi Boladian, Audrey Warner, and Maddie Wiltrout - were named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) NAIA Academic Honor Roll the association announced today. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater. 65 student-athletes from 14 different institutions were recognized in the NAIA.

St. Ambrose will welcome Joe Demory (men's golf), Jennifer Goetz (women's basketball), Michael Hayward (football) and Mike Kennedy (men's basketball) into its Athletic Hall of Fame on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2022, as part of Homecoming Weekend. The four will comprise the 32nd class of inductees into the University's Athletic Hall of Fame.

2021-22 WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll

For the 12th straight year, the St. Ambrose women's basketball team was named to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll.

The Bees placed 11th in 2021-22 among all NAIA institutions with a 3.639 cumulative grade point average. Hastings College earned the top spot in the NAIA with a 3.901 GPA.

St. Ambrose was recognized for its performance on the track, in the field and in the classroom as the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) honored teams and individuals who stood out both academically and athletically.

IWLCA Release

St. Ambrose was named the 2022 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Community Awareness Winner in the NAIA. The purpose of the Team Community Awareness Award is to recognize one team in each Division that has contributed significantly to their community during the previous academic year. St. Ambrose won this award previously in 2020.

The St. Ambrose men's and women's swimming and diving programs were named Scholar All-America Teams by the College Swimming & Diving Association of America (CSCAA) on Tuesday.

The St. Ambrose Baseball program will be hosting an event for past and present Fighting Bee baseball members on Sept. 16, 2022.

2022 SAU Women's Soccer Summer ID Clinic

Sign up now for the 2022 SAU Women's Soccer Summer ID Clinic scheduled for Friday, July 22nd from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The day will start at the Ambrose Dome with a technical assessment and small sided games. 

The clinic is a chance for high school students and potential transfer students to learn about St. Ambrose University and the women's soccer program.
