For more than a decade or so, Lakeland Christian has been the top girls soccer team in Polk County, winning four state titles along the way. There was no clear-cut No. 1 team as LCS, George Jenkins and McKeel were the top teams. This season, however, could be interesting. Lakeland Christian is replacing 11 starters but has a talented young crop of team on the way. The Vikings should remain among the top teams with Jenkins and McKeel, but Santa Fe Catholic, which returns nearly all its top players and got a boost by a talented transfer, could surpass everybody. We'll take a look at how the teams stack up in the future, but for now, here are the top players who will be playing this season....
