The nutritionist called the danger of smoothies
Some foods are best avoided on an empty stomach because of the risk of irritation from the gastrointestinal tract. Nutritionist Elena Solomatina spoke about this in an interview with the radio station “Moscow Talk”.
In particular, the specialist drew attention to the fashion to replace full meals with smoothies – a thick drink made from berries, fruits or vegetables mixed in a blender with the addition of milk, juice, ice. She warned that certain food combinations can be poorly absorbed by the body.
In addition, Solomatina urged not to eat spicy or peppery food for breakfast, even if it is considered healthy. “Nowadays the fashion for ginger, garlic, lemon. And people with water or in natural form make mixtures, smoothies, and all this is drunk on an empty stomach, ”the nutritionist was indignant. She found this meal to be dangerous.
Earlier, Solomatina warned about the dangers of tea. The drink itself is healthy, and there are no restrictions on its use, however, it contains caffeine and can be dangerous for those with increased nervous excitability.
