Honored Doctor lists diagnoses dangerous in the COVID-19 pandemic to Russians

Honored Doctor of Russia, Doctor of Biological Sciences Yevgeny Lilin, in an interview with URA.RU, listed the diagnoses that are dangerous during the coronavirus pandemic.

So, according to him, Russians with stroke and cancer are at risk. “An ambulance in Russia may not have time to come to seriously ill patients due to the load caused by the coronavirus,” the doctor explained.

He stressed that those who have had a stroke should be hospitalized within five to six hours. Cancer patients who need urgent hospitalization are also at risk, Lilin explained.

Earlier in October, it was reported that health workers at polyclinics in Perm require cancer patients to take a coronavirus test every month at their own expense. Without them, doctors refuse to treat patients. According to one of the patients, every 20 days she spends three thousand rubles on the analysis. The management of the medical institution, where it is observed, explained the requirements by running out of test systems.

Over the past day, 16.5 thousand new cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in Russia. Most of the new infections were registered in Moscow (4453), St. Petersburg (713) and the Moscow region (480). To date, 1,497,167 cases of coronavirus have been detected in Russia in 85 regions.
