Putin’s aide gave a forecast for the ruble
Aide to Russian President Vladimir Putin Maxim Oreshkin made a forecast on the ruble exchange rate in an interview for Naili Asker-zade’s film “Dangerous Virus. Rescue plan “on the TV channel” Russia 1 “, reports TASS.
Oreshkin stressed that at the moment the ruble exchange rate is floating, which is why it can fluctuate in both directions. In addition, temporary factors periodically act on the currency, as well as “reasoning about sanctions and general attitude to risk in global markets.”
At the same time, the presidential aide said that periods of weakening of the ruble have always been replaced by strengthening. He recalled that a similar situation was in the spring of this year, when the Russian currency won back a significant part of the losses after a sharp surge in the rate. “Such a scenario is likely now,” concluded Oreshkin.
Earlier, the future of the ruble was predicted by the head of Sberbank, German Gref. According to him, by the end of the year the national currency will strengthen. According to the head of the Accounts Chamber, Alexei Kudrin, the ruble exchange rate will remain approximately at the current level until the end of 2021.
Currently, the dollar rate in the Forex market is holding at around 76.2 rubles, and the euro is worth 90.4 rubles.
