Anonymous Trump Book Author Reveals His Identity Ahead Of The Election
Former Chief of Staff of the US Department of Homeland Security, Miles Taylor, said that he is the author of the anonymous book “Warning” about US President Donald Trump. According to him, he wrote the book after leaving the US presidential administration in 2019.
“Although I am only attributing the authorship of the work, many officials at the highest levels of the federal government held the views described in it. In other words, Trump’s own aides were alarmed by his imbalance, ”wrote Mr Taylor on his Medium blog. He said that by publishing his observations anonymously, he forced Mr Trump to answer the questions in the book without getting personal.
In August 2020, Mr Taylor was the first former Trump administration official to endorse Joe Biden, his presidential opponent. Mr Trump, in response to his identity disclosure, tweeted that The New York Times and CNN, which gave the platform to Mr Taylor, should “fire, shame and punish everyone associated with the American fraudster.” The President stated that he had never heard of Mr. Taylor.
In 2018, The New York Times published an anonymous column by a senior US presidential administration official titled “I am part of the resistance within the Trump administration.” The author claimed that he and his colleagues daily “interfere” with the US president from realizing his “worst intentions”. The book “Warning” was published in 2019. Shortly after its publication, other former officials published their works both in support of and against Mr. Trump; in contrast to the author of the “Warning”, they signed their names.
