In Russia, a vegetarian was sent to compulsory treatment for the exhaustion of her daughter
The Kislovodsk city court sent a vegetarian to compulsory treatment, who had brought her daughter to exhaustion. This is reported by the prosecutor’s office of the Stavropol Territory.
It was found that a 46-year-old Russian woman limited her child’s diet, which made the girl starve. In addition, the mother did not provide timely medical care to the child. All this led to the fact that the child’s health was inflicted with moderate harm.
The children’s ombudsman in the Stavropol Territory, Svetlana Adamenko, clarified to the TASS agency that the girl had an acute underweight, which had reached a critical level.
The court found the woman guilty under the article “Failure to fulfill the duties of raising a minor if this act is connected with cruel treatment of a minor.” She was sent to a psychiatric hospital.
In September, a court in Izhevsk sentenced a man to 21 years in a maximum security colony for corrupting ten boys aged 8-17. The convict did not admit his guilt, saying that the students slandered him. By a court decision, he was banned from working with children. In addition, in the colony, the man will be sent for compulsory observation and treatment by a psychiatrist.
