After 12 games, 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk has 19 catches, seven carries and one touchdown.

This begs the question: Did the 49ers forget about those offseason plan to make him a solid part of their offense?

In March, general manager John Lynch inspired images of Juszczyk endlessly carrying and catching when he explained why the 49ers outbid several other teams and made him the NFL’s highest-paid player at his position.

As the price tag soared, Lynch said the brain trust took comfort in this: The 49ers weren’t handing a four-year, $21 million contract to a traditional battering ram.

“We said, ‘Let’s not think of him as a fullback,’” Lynch said. “‘He’s an OW.
