Raiders’ Jalen Richard trying to rebound from a ‘rough day’ on punt returns

Jalen Richard didn’t waver when asked if he expects to be back returning punts for the Raiders on Sunday in Kansas City.

“Yeah, why not?” Richard said. “I ain’t lost no talent.”

Richard muffed three punts in Oakland’s 24-17 win over the Giants but averted a disastrous day as the Raiders recovered all three. Richard described it afterward as “just a rough day at work.” He still figured he’d hear about it when players reconvened Tuesday.

“A couple of guys made jokes with me, talking about ‘Butterfingers’ and stuff,” Richard said. “It’s cool. That’s their way of keeping me accountable. I keep myself highly accountable. I don’t want to let nobody else down.
