Stanford’s Jerod Haase regrets tough schedule for injury-racked team

Hindsight is a gift that never stops giving, but it hasn’t provided Stanford head caoch Jerod Haase much of a salving balm for his team’s 4-6 start.

He admitted he has had second thoughts about booking such a grueling early-season schedule, playing then-No. 9 North Carolina and following with games against then-No. 7 Florida and Ohio State in the PK80 Invitational in Portland. In two weeks, the Cardinal face their biggest test of all when they play No. 2 Kansas at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento.

“If I had some way of knowing exactly what was going to transpire, that we wouldn’t have our whole roster,” Haase said, “we certainly would not have played the schedule we put in front of us.
