New York (dpa) - Members of the UN Security Council have requested an emergency meeting after Donald Trump announced the US would be formally recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and moving its embassy there, the Swedish delegation to the UN said in a statement.Sweden, Britain, France, Bolivia, Egypt, Italy, Senegal, and Uruguay made a request to the Security Council president - Japan - to hold the meeting before the end of the week and have Secretary General Antonio Guterres brief council members.The Security Council meeting on Jerusalem will be on Friday morning, a spokesman for Japanese UN Ambassador and Security Council President Koro Bessho told dpa via email.
