The parents of a toddler who suffered a brain injury likely while shaken at a home day care center say they aren't surprised no one will be charged.
Chelsea and Rey Valiente say the state attorney general's office told them the witnesses subpoenaed to testify before a grand jury invoked their fifth amendment right against self-incrimination.
Attorney General Doug Chin says in a release that despite multiple witnesses summoned to testify, a suspect couldn't be identified. He ended the case without charges.
