Cal men endure another season low point in 96-69 loss to Central Arkansas
Wyking Jones’ team won’t play at home again until Dec. 16.
Fans might need at least that long to recover from the monstrosity they witnessed at Haas Pavilion on Wednesday night.
Cal was sloppy on offense, lackadaisical on defense and got wholly outplayed in a 96-69 loss to Central Arkansas, a team that moved up to Division I in 2010-11 and is projected to finish 11th in the 13-team Southland Conference this season.
“Obviously, it’s an effort thing,” said Jones, the Cal head coach who was still addressing his team more than 30 minutes after the game — missing his expected postgame radio interview and failing to arrive at his postgame news conference for almost another half-hour.
