Nalbandian, Mammadyarov discuss future peace efforts over Karabakh

Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, who is on a working visit to Vienna, on Wednesday met with his Azerbaijani counterpart for a new round of talks over Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh).

The meeting was also attended by the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group (Ambassadors Andrew Schoffer of United States, Stephane Visconti of France and Igor Popov of Russia) and Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk.

According to the Foreign Ministry’s press service, the implementation of the 2016 Vienna and St Petersburg arrangements and the October 2017 presidential summit were on the agenda of the meeting.

The co-chairs agreed to arrange a new ministerial meeting in early 2018.

The sides also discussed the timeframes of the chairs’ next visit to the South Caucasus region.
