After looking through CVs and checking out numerous Facebook profile pics we invited two down to the office for interview.
The sales lads were excited - females on site means they get chance to peacock around drinking protein shakes while stood up - maximum gains.
I left a £10 note on the floor of the waiting area before the interview with each candidate - standard "honesty" test all interviewees are challenged with.
Candidate 1: came into interview, nervous to meet me in person. I looked back and the £10 was gone. She struggled with the interview a little. I mentioned that honesty was THE most important thing in our forward thinking workplace - she never mentioned or returned the money.
Candidate 2: Sat down confidently, aced all our competency based questions and said hard work and being eager to learn were her two main skills. Our HR Manager was impressed, then came the"honesty" question. She said she had found £10 in the reception area and wanted to hand it in before leaving.
BINGO! She was HONEST too.
We had a clear winner...
Candidate 1 - she was miles better looking.
Sales lads are buzzing.
