Watford set to rival Arsenal in race for Serie A midfield general

Watford are the latest club to take an interest in Udinese midfielder Jakub Jankto, according to Calciomercato.com.

The Corriere Dello Sport reported earlier this week that Chelsea and AC Milan have entered the race with Arsenal for the 21 year old, but it seems that the Hornets are joint favourites with the Gunners to sign the Czech Republic international.

Jankto is believed to prefer a move abroad, and he indicated as such when asked about his future following the 3-0 victory over Crotone on Monday. The midfielder scored a brace in the match and would no doubt have impressed observing scouts.
