On a cold december night

I yearn 

For the warmth

Of a radiant heart

Brimming with emotions

To nudge me

To sleep

Sing me a lullaby

When my body is exhausted

And her tender touch

Seems to melt all the pain away

And I pass in a slumber

Ever so deep

That is too dreamy to be true

And too long to be realistic

And when I wake up

I miss that urge

So subtle it used to be

To rush for that phone

Hurriedly reading through the texts

End up smiling,
