The Apaches had the perfect birthday present for coach Mike Marquis - an emphatic win.

Tyler Junior College had 10 blocks - three from Swedish import Lukas Bergang - and held the high-scoring Jacksonville Jaguars to some 50 points under their average in registering a 79-48 victory Wednesday at Wagstaff Gymnasium.

Along with the balanced scoring attack and the block party, the Apaches had 14 steals, led by Desmond Balentine's six swipes in the Region XIV Conference basketball game.
