‘The Punisher’ Renewed for Season 2 at Netflix

Netflix has renewed the Marvel series “The Punisher” for a second season, the streamer announced on Tuesday.

The series, a spinoff of Netflix’s first Marvel series “Daredevil,” stars “The Walking Dead” alum Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, a vigilante out for revenge on those responsible for the death of his wife and children.

“The Punisher” marked Netflix’s sixth Marvel series, following “Daredevil,” “Jessica Jones,” “Luke Cage,” “Iron Fist” and September’s superhero team-up “Marvel’s Defenders.” Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ben Barnes and Amber Rose Revah also star.
