Eagles know script by now
Delmar
During Bethlehem's run to the 2016-17 Class AA championship, Jake LaClair was a sophomore who was called up to the varsity squad midseason but saw little action for the Section II champion Eagles.
In Bethlehem's title game rematch with Colonie, LaClair was the key in a decisive eight-minute stretch for the Eagles, scoring 12 of his game-high 19 points as Bethlehem outscored the Garnet Raiders 24-8 in the period on its way to a 59-48 win Tuesday night in Suburban Council action.
LaClair had two points in the first half as Bethlehem (3-1, 3-1) trailed 22-21 but scored seven points in a 9-0 Eagle run to begin the second half as Bethlehem turned up its defensive focus after intermission to take a 45-30 lead into the fourth quarter.
