‘Fantastic Beasts 2’: J.K. Rowling Gets Support For Defending Johnny Depp Role

A lot of people are protesting against Johnny Depp’s casting in “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald,” but Warner Bros. Studios and author J.K. Rowling have decided not to recast his character, Gellert Gindelwald.

“Harry Potter” fans, who have mostly supported Rowling and her views, began to lambast her on social media. As a victim of domestic abuse herself, fans said Rowling should have been more understanding and promptly removed Depp. Many moviegoers even said they will boycott the movie because they don’t want to see Depp as part of the film.
