I'll succeed Ajimobi - Oyo state deputy governor Moses Alake declares

Moses Alake, the deputy governor of Oyo state, recently made it known that he is the best to succeed Governor Abiola Ajimobi at the expiration of the present regime in 2019.
Punch reported that after Alake examined the profiles of other aspirants, it became clear to him that he was the best man for the office.

He expressed his intention to be the next governor of the state at APC’s secretariat in Ibadan on Tuesday, December 12.
He claimed he has what it takes to become the next governor of the state. His reason for saying so was that he been efficient in various political offices even before he became the deputy governor in 2011.

Indigenes of Oke Ogun, Alake's hometown, are pushing for the emergence of the next governor.
Alake stated: “The governor has performed very well and there is a need to continue his good and quality work. As a loyal party man, who has been in the progressives fold all my life, from the days of the Action Group, the Social Democratic Party and now, the All Progressives Congress, I have enough experience to succeed the governor.”
Akin Oke, the chairman of APC (Oyo state) praised Alake for his openness about his intention.
But he made it clear that due processes will be followed by the party in choosing a candidate.
Earlier, NAIJ.com had reported that the United States of America (US) and the United Kingdom (UK) have warned their citizens in Nigeria of impending attacks by Boko Haram terrorists in Abuja and some other areas.
In a statement acquired by NAIJ.com and posted to the official website of the American embassy in Nigeria, the US warned its citizens to be very careful during the yuletide citizen, particularly around the period of Christmas and New Year celebrations.
The statement read: "The U.S. Mission urges all U.S. citizens to exercise caution in and around shopping centers, malls, markets, hotels, places of worship, restaurants, bars, and other places where crowds gather in and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), from now through the Christmas and New Year’s holiday season.
"Terrorist groups have threatened to conduct bombings and attacks in this area during this period. "The U.S. Mission remains concerned about potential attacks in the states of Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Jigawa, and Yobe. Travelers are urged to avoid those states through the end of the year."
