Cairo (dpa) - Jordanian King Abdullah II says that US recognition of Jerusalem as Israel‘s capital is a "dangerous and destabilizing decision."Washington‘s move hampers efforts to revive long-stalled peacemaking between Palestinians and Israel, he added at a meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Istanbul."Our region cannot enjoy peace without the two-state solution," the monarch said, referring to a peace formula proposing one state for Israel and another for Palestinians.Jordan is one of two Arab countries having diplomatic ties with Israel. The other is Egypt.
