[Men's Basketball] Mechanics Blow Big Halftime Lead But Come Back Late to Defeat Lehigh Carbon

Williamson hit the road on Tuesday and found themselves with what appeared to be a comfortable 33-17 halftime lead over host Lehigh Carbon Community College.  Looks can be deceiving and that is exactly what happened to Williamson, as the hosts came storming back and actually led game with a minute to go before Williamson scored the final four points to come away with a 61-58 victory over the Cougars.

Williamson trailed with just over a minute to go before retaking the lead, 59-58.  They then needed a big defensive stand and got just that to regain possession and maintain their lead.   Senior guard Jose Montanez then calmly hit two free throws at the end ice the game for Williamson. 

The win is Williamson's fifth in a row and moves them above .500 for the first time all season.  After starting the year off 0-4, Williamson has since gone 7-2 over their last nine games.  They close out their first semester slate this Saturday at noon against Christendom College.
