Istanbul (dpa) - Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said he will seek a UN General Assembly vote to nullify Israel‘s UN status and ask for full Palestinian membership in the UN. "We will go to the General Assembly on the membership of Israel," Abbas said, speaking to the press at the closing of a summit of Islamic nations on Wednesday. The Palestinian leader added that he will seek a UN Security Council decision to annul the US move to recognize Jerusalem as Israel‘s capital. According to Abbas, Washington is unable to exercise its veto power in cases where the complaint is against the US.
