After a lengthy battle, an archaic legal grey area that allowed the UK Armed Forces to not report cases of sexual harassment and abuse to authorities, and investigate charges themselves, will be closed by the government. Several previous cases of internally-investigated rapes by military personnel saw accused soldiers walk free.
