You can do a DStv reset using any of these two methods:
- Via SMS
- DStv easy service
Make sure your decoder is powered on with your SmartCard inserted when you are fixing errors.
How to do a DStv reset via SMS
This is the fastest way to reset your decoder after making your DStv payment. After subscribing, go to your phone text messaging service and send RESET followed by your SmartCard number to 30333. This will send a message to the DStv office to reset your decoder. You will get a response that the re-authentication process is in process. All other things being equal, you should be able to view your subscribed channels after some minutes. This option works on every phone network service in Nigeria.
How to reset DStv using DStv easy service
- Visit the DStv website at ww.eazy.dstv.com and select your country - Nigeria to log into the DStv Nigeria website.
- Sign in to your account with your Surname or Mobile Number and your SmartCard Number.
- Click on “Fix Errors.”
- Enter your SmartCard number in the dialogue box provided.
- Select the “E16” error option. Most times it already there.
- Enter the text displayed in the captcha box.
- Click on “Fix Error.”
The error will be fixed immediately and your subscribed channels will be unscrambled.
These two methods should work fine as long as every other thing is okay with your decoder and dish antenna. If these two options don’t work and you don’t know the reason for the error, you can visit a service centre or call the DStv customer care.
