Ogden couple pleads guilty to trafficking women

OGDEN, Utah (AP) — A Utah couple entered guilty pleas after authorities say they ran a prostitution operation out of their Ogden home, using drugs and intimidation to keep women working for them.

Deseret News reports 20-year-old Lynnsie Reddish and 31-year-old Terrance Chavez Jones each pleaded guilty on Monday to two counts of human trafficking — charges that could lead to a sentence of up to 15 years in prison.

Prosecutors initially charged the pair with 19 felony charges each, including kidnapping, money laundering and exploitation of a prostitute. The other charges were dropped as part of a plea agreement.

Authorities say the couple beat up one woman after they thought she was going to leave their operation.
