Two Armed Robbers Are On The Run After A Garda Car Was Rammed In Raheny

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a security guard was robbed in Raheny this afternoon. The incident occurred when a the guard was approached by a man armed with a hammer while making a cash delivery to a bank in Raheny Village. He was forced to hand over the cash box before the raider left the scene in a Renault Megane driven by a second male. A short time later, the vehicle rammed into a Garda patrol car on the Clontarf Road before being found abandoned on La Vista Avenue, Clontarf.No arrests have been made.
