He’s seen yelling “humble yourself” at the Heisman Trophy winner after the win.
On one hand this is quite the flex on a recently beaten opponent. Not only did the Dawgs beat the Sooners in a truly epic double overtime Rose Bowl, but Bellamy put some salt in the wound by yelling at Mayfield in the way he did.
As far as Mayfield is concerned, part of this is the cost of doing business in the way he does. It’s no secret that Mayfield’s outspoken, and the way he wears his emotions on his sleeve can get him into trouble, whether it’s planting the flag at Ohio State’s midfield logo ...

And Mayfield was his usual self during the first quarter of the game gesturing and saying that “it’s over” when the Sooners got the early lead.

So if you’re gonna dish it out, you’ve got to be able to take it. Mayfield certainly is, given the fact that he’s clearly had far worse than “humble yourself” yelled at him by opposing fans in stadiums all season.
