The national leadership of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) led by Odigie Oyegun has admitted that the government didn’t meet the expectations of Nigerians, particularly on the economic front.
Nigerian Tribune reports that the party in its New Year message, entitled, New Year: Let’s Build a New Nigeria Together, appraised its electoral promises on fight against corruption, insurgency and revamping the economy but scored itself low on restoration of the economy.
In the statement signed by its national publicity secretary Bolaji Abdullahi the ruling party said it was ‘’acutely aware of our current national challenges, particularly on the economy,’’ but further pleaded for the understanding of Nigerians in the new year.
