We made the hit game Temple Run - can you help us make the next big hit? Imangi Studios is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Community Manager to connect our players with the development team behind Temple Run and TR2. The ideal candidate will have experience engaging online communities across a variety of platforms from social (Twitter and Facebook) to gamer-focused media (Twitch). If you’re a passionate gamer with a strong track record of managing communities, we’d love to talk.
Duties and Essential Job Functions:
Initiate positive and supportive conversations within the player-base around content, updates, contests, information, and opportunities that will be of interest to the communitySort, triage, and funnel player issues that surface in the community to the proper place and escalation path (documentation, marketing, individual developers, ops support, developer relations, licensing, Marketplace); coordinate closely with various stakeholdersDevelop a community strategy for Temple Run’s online presenceSupport conversations on social media, in comment threads, and in channels such as Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, Reddit, GitHub, etc.
Create a Temple Run forum
Drive changes to web properties and a content cadence to consistently engage and grow the communityRegularly analyze and report community sentiment internallyManage a team of other community coordinators
Provide players with an authentic, trusted point of contact and authority for their concerns and interests. Assist them to obtain answers and solutions wherever possibleAct as the main liaison between players and developers
The ideal candidate will have a mix of the qualifications below:Bachelor degree mandatory, Journalism, English, Communications, Media, or related degree preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skills
Organized, flexible, and able to work with multiple stakeholdersHigh comfort level with social media and online communicationsWell-versed in key social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, YouTube)Familiarity with content creator space (YouTube, Twitch)Some direct experience managing a gaming community
Experience managing or working with creative communitiesExperience creating, moderating, or managing forums and working in CMS environmentsFamiliarity with the vocabulary and high level process of game development in a C++ environmentStrong organization and project management skills, attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlinesAbility to react quickly to changing situations and last-minute requests, employing a positive and professional attitude at all times
Bonus:
One or more shipped titles in career experience
A personal passion for games (mobile games a plus)
Experience with CRM practices, Powerpoint, Photoshop, HTML/CSS a plusComfort with speaking in public and/or some level of on-camera experience
