He asked them to offer their services for free. Attend corporate events, memorise deliberations of meetings and make jokes from it.
He revealed that he did that for four years before things started looking up for him.

Sharing a photo of him before some corporate people cracking their ribs, he captioned it;
“If you want to test your abilities to be a corporate comedian... offer your services for free at Summits, workshops, conferences, book launches and AGMs. Listen to all the deliberations of the meetings; presentations and the topical issues raised... crystallize them into jokes. You will be ready for all and any that comes along after that. Trust me, I did it for 4 good years. Pro bono most of the time. But that's how you creep into corporate bookings. It may even be easier now. Because back then, the service was non existent”

In a recent Instagram post, Ali Baba revealed that he did not collect money from Africa richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote to perform at his daughter Fatima's wedding to Jamil Abubarkar in March. He revealed further that the billionaire is his friend so he performed for free as his contribution to giving Fatima a befitting wedding. He said this in a reaction to a post where a guy accused Dangote of wasting money on his daughter's wedding while Bill Gate, one of the cement merchant's guests at the wedding spends his own money on the poor in Nigeria and Africa.
