Firstly, I would like to thank everyone for the warm welcome they have given me since joining the site last week. For those that don't know, I am the CEO of 1800 Poo Man and was referred by a good mate of mine to join the site a few weeks back so I took up his offer and joined up. Before I get onto my main objective of writing the blog, I would like to congratulate the boys on an outstanding performance last night over the Dragons. Great team reshuffle and all round effort! The reason why I am writing this blog is to provide you all an insight into the perspective from a sponsor. As many of you know, I have been a sponsor of the Eels for 2 years now and have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the club. Last year was a huge success for me but this year has been a bit more disappointing. Since we sponsored Semi last year and since we made the finals, we got plenty of business out of it as the word spread. Without him this year as well as the less impressive performance by the team, the reaction has been a significant 1/4 or 1/2 less which has been disappointing. I understand the disappointment of the fans but one thing which needs to be mentioned is the disappointment of the sponsors. It has been a tough year for us as well as the fans so please, spare a thought for us in the whole process who are giving the club the little profits we make to sponsor players or the team.I am writing as well to sympathise with Aland who signed a major sponsorship deal this year and have not received the results they would have liked. There were many other player and jersey sponsors who decided to sponsor the club this year who were expecting better results than what we have seen this year, so my thoughts go to them as well. For little businesses (just like 1800 Poo Man) it is very hard to see such terrible results this year especially when we are putting money into the club and are not getting the results we would like from the club to make it worthwhile. We can only look positively towards 2019 and the last few games of this year.Once again, thanks for the warm welcome guys and don't worry, you'll see plenty more blog posts from me!!!See More
