Chris Watts murdered his pregnant wife and their two young daughters because he wanted to start a new life with his secret lover, a criminologist has speculated and it seems with the evidence that is been provided there really is no other conclusion. Watts, who police claim was having an affair with a colleague from work, when he decided he wanted to start a new life without the burden of a family after his lover was pressuring him "it's me or her" and now it seems clear the choice that Chris Watts made.
What makes this story even more bizarre is that the 33-year-old suspect Christopher Watts has claimed to police that he killed Shanann Watts after he witnessed her strangling his two daughters on a baby monitor at their home, after seeing this he went on a murderous rage and beat and strangled his wife. After this Watts dropped his two daughters into an industrial tank of crude oil and buried his wife and unborn child in a shallow grave. After giving a television interview begging for his wife to return that he angered his mistress who phoned the police and the FBI arrested Watts a day later where he admitted everything.
