But I think it’s important to find out about the history of your favourite club, and Blues have a rich and interesting past about which we should have a right to be proud.
Anyway, what I’d like to know is ...
“Which Blues player from an era before you were born would you most have liked to have seen in the flesh?”
I had two players in mind - the first is Fred Wheldon who scored goals for fun in the late 19th century, including 25 goals in 22 games one season, and who was largely responsible for getting us into the Football League in the first place and then winning Div 2 before finally getting promoted to Div 1 for the first time.
Unfortunately after we got relegated he signed for you-know-who, and so because I know that that will annoy people (as will the fact that he played county cricket for the Pears) I decided to plump instead for ...
... Joe Bradford. 267 goals in 445 matches for Blues, a Cup Final goal, 7 goals in 12 matches for England. Not too shabby.
So what about you?
